"2000" KRANE NATIONALS

The Hyatt Regency Hotel in the beautiful Newport RI was the scene for the prestigious "2000" KRANE NATIONALS. KRANE RATINGS INTERNATIONAL, (one of the big three) is one of the oldest and most respected Sport Karate organizations in the World. The KRANE NATIONALS, the final tournament on the KRANE Circuit, will determine the "2000" KRANE NATIONAL CHAMPIONS.

The Tournament was held in the beautiful and spacious Hyatt Ballroom. Many of Sport Karate’s biggest names were in attendance. For the first time the KRANE NATIONALS was an open Tournament, this to attract the best talent from other Karate organizations, in order to determine True National Champions.

As you entered the Ballroom, you could feel the electricity. A lot was at stake that day. A lot of stretching, practicing and praying was going on, because many competitor’s dreams were about to come true. I had many emotions running through me that day too. I was nervous, excited, but ready for what was about to happen.

The Tournament featured some of the best Judges in the USA, which meant quick, efficient running rings with no controversy. The Tournament Coordinators "KRANE PRESIDENT" Prof. Tony Cogliandro and VICE PRESIDENT Shihan Don Rodrigues (Coach of TEAM PAUL MITCHELL) without a doubt are two of the best coordinators in the business. They kept the rings running quickly and efficiently all day.

Beautiful custom made Gold, Silver and Bronze medals were given to the top three finishers.

Covering the KRANE NATIONALS was both an honor and a thrill for me and we will definitely come back next year. If you missed this years KRANE NATIONALS then you missed a truly wonderful event. Below is the list of the newly crowned KRANE NATIONAL CHAMPIONS:
